Berk Moss posted an update in the group Environmental Education Thanks everyone. I hope this is where I should offer my comments. If so, her they come…
What a tremendous amount of effort went into creating this draft. If the nation's children (and adult visitors too) find EE programs as envisioned by the team at National Wildlife Refuges, they will have a much better understanding of conservation and nature and many richer connections with wildlife!
My comments below are intended to offer some of my experience toward the same goals. I'm not trying to criticize the work so much as implement it. I hope my offerings help.
Berk Moss, Education Chair - Friends of the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge
P.S. My point of view comes from 28 years as a classroom science teacher, ten years as the District Science Specialist for a school district of 37,000 students, 200+ camping nights as a Scout Leader and seven years service as a Volunteer Naturalist.
